Anti-racism resources for well-being

Racism and all forms of subjugation and supremacy are systems that dehumanize not only the people who are marginalized, but also the people who benefit from the system. We may experience dehumanization in the form of emotional dysregulation, anxiety, depression, and relational problems, some of which could also manifest physically.

Helping our psyche isn’t enough if we are not helping the social fabric that holds us up. We can’t just support the fight against racism as a “cause.” We must recognize it as part of our social, collective set-up. This means we have to actively undo Native invisibility and anti-Blackness, dismantle white supremacy while resisting colonization and racialized capitalist practices, and honor our intersectional and interconnected lives. Yes! That’s a lot! So, what should we do? The answer lies in how we orient and respond.

The article Anti-racism resources for well-being highlights educational, therapeutic, and activism resources to support anti-racist work and self care.
